A while ago the lovely Mummy Swan tagged me to “blog my heart out” which is basically a blog post that tells my readers more about me, and the background to my blog. I have to answer 5 questions and then tag five other bloggers to do the same, so here goes…
Who/What encouraged you to start blogging?… Read more
I don’t know about you, but our home is pretty bereft of books. When Hubs and I first moved in together, 12 years ago, we had overflowing bookshelves. Bookcases were crammed into tiny rooms, with books two or three deep on each shelf.
Then everything changed. We still read avidly. Possibly more than ever before.… Read more
A few months ago I was contacted in French by a PR who wanted to know if our daughters would be interested in reviewing some shoes from the brand Naturino. If you read this blog regularly you’ll know that I only review products that I’m really interested in. Now, L – in her 7 year old maturity – is crazy about fashion, looks and anything aesthetic, so when I mentioned this in passing she asked to see the shoes and boots that Naturino were offering.… Read more
It was a lovely surprise to be tagged by the lovely Lou’s Lake Views in this meme, which is a blog review of 2013 (if you’re not a blogger or into blogging you may want to stop reading now!). Kerry at Oh So Amelia started it, and it’s a great way to look back over your year of writing and reading other blogs.… Read more
Along with a friend, J, I was very lucky to be gifted a ticket to see Mike Paulton’s version of Fortune’s Fool by Ivan Turgenev at the Old Vic in London just before Christmas. J is very good friends with Janet Fullerlove, who plays the role of Praskovya Ivanova in the play, and I have met Janet on several occasions, as well as having had the pleasure to see her perform in Regent’s Park outdoor theatre a couple of years ago.… Read more
Happy New Year one and all! Here’s hoping you all had a good festive season and made it into the start of 2014 in one piece. Before I go any further I would like to say a massive thank you to those who read my blog, who share it and who comment on it; 2013 was a fantastic year for Franglaise Mummy with the blog going from strength to strength thanks to you lot, so merci beaucoup, thank you very much 🙂
I don’t know about you but I don’t really “do” resolutions, as they tend to be destined to fail, instead I like to take stock and make plans for the future with clear goals and objectives, and this blog post is about Franglaise Family’s plans, goals and objectives for 2014.… Read more
Two weeks ago saw Franglaise Family on a flight, heading to Nice for a good friend’s wedding (more to come on the wedding itself soon). When I got our invitation to the wedding, I racked my brains over what I could wear that would make me feel as good as the last wedding I went to, and the only solution seemed another dress from The Pretty Dress Company, seeing as the last one from them made me feel so amazing, and got me such great compliments.… Read more
For those of you who regularly follow this blog or who follow me on social media, you may have noticed that I’ve been a bit quiet recently. I love writing this blog, as well as catching up with my online friends via social media, and reading/commenting on other blogs, but for the last few weeks this has been on the back burner while other things go on.… Read more
First of all I apologise for using the C word before the end of October, but I love Christmas and with children it’s even better!
This will be our 8th Christmas with our own little ones and each year just gets better. We love the understanding that L has of Christmas now, and the fun that brings.… Read more
