I’m going to Britmums Live 2014
Seeing as this time next week I’ll be enjoying myself at Britmums Live, I thought It was about time I write my post all about it, and join up with the “I’m going to Britmums Live” linky, so here goes….
Blog: Franglaise Mummy and I also co-blog a food blog with Hubs: Franglaise Cooking. Hubs will be joining me at Britmums Live this year to attend all the foodie sessions, so be nice to him if you see him as he doesn’t know many people in the blogging community 😉
Twitter ID: @FranglaiseMummy and @FranglaiseFood for our cooking blog
Height: Somewhere between 5’3″ and 5’4″ but I will probably be wearing some kind of heel….until I give in and put flip flops on.
Hair: (Unnatural) reddy-brown, nearly shoulder-length, curly hair.
Eyes: My eyes are like a barometer of my state – the colour changes all the time, depending on how tired, drunk or hungover I am. They could be green, grey, hazel or sludge-coloured.
Is this your first blogging conference?
No, it’s my second Britmums Live. I loved last year so much that I am more excited about this than Christmas. And that’s saying something.
Are you attending both days?
Both Hubs and I are. Thanks Mum and Dad for looking after the kids for us 🙂
What are you most looking forward to at BritMums Live 2014?
I cannot wait to meet up with my lovely blogging buddies – including meeting some in the flesh for the first time. I’m also loving the agenda this year, there is so much that appeals to me, I just need to figure out how to fit it all in. Finally, having read “It’s not raining, Daddy, it’s happy” by Benjamin Brooks-Dutton recently, I can’t wait to hear him talk.
What are you wearing?
As I spend 99% of my time in jeans and t-shirts, I’m delighted to announce that I will be wearing some stunning outfits from The Pretty Dress Company. Here is a beautiful outfit of theirs that I wore to a wedding recently:
What do you hope to gain from BritMums Live 2014?
I’m hoping to take away some new blogging knowledge, motivation and inspiration, as well as the biggest feel-good feeling from being with such amazing people 🙂
Do you have any tips to pass on to others who may not have been before?
Don’t be nervous, as so many people will be feeling a bit anxious, so don’t waste a minute of the weekend with negative feelings. Find a Britmums Butterfly or just chat to those near to you. Don’t worry if someone you chat to online doesn’t recognise you, we look different offline and often we don’t put names to faces. Keep your name badge nice and visible and don’t hesitate to make the first move and introduce yourself to others. But most importantly, enjoy! Enjoy being in a room with people who think what you do is normal, and amazing 🙂
See you there!
