The boots that never come off

A few months ago I was contacted in French by a PR who wanted to know if our daughters would be interested in reviewing some shoes from the brand Naturino. If you read this blog regularly you’ll know that I only review products that I’m really interested in. Now, L – in her 7 year old maturity – is crazy about fashion, looks and anything aesthetic, so when I mentioned this in passing she asked to see the shoes and boots that Naturino were offering. She then went crazy over them and took about 2 hours, poring over my computer, choosing which pair she would like to try out.

L finally chose the Naturino Varna boots, which you can see her modelling here. Naturino’s shoes have a “sand effect system” giving the feeling of walking on sand, with the shoe adapting to the shape of the foot. First of all she found this a bit strange, but she then very quickly got used to it.

The boots are fantastic quality as well as being stylish; they are warm and waterproof, which is essential for any winter footwear in the UK! We received them in late November and I can honestly say that L has lived in them ever since (including cheekily wearing them to school a few times), she even wanted to wear them to bed at one stage!

They have been teamed up with dresses mostly, but occasionally with skinny jeans too, and they have gone everywhere – on the bike, on the scooter, to Chessington, to Buckingham Palace, and pretty much all over London. Also, as we live in London, we tend to walk an awful lot, so they have got a fair few miles under their belt now too, but are still going strong, as you can see.

Now Naturino shoes and boots are not the cheapest on the market, but with good reason: not only are the styles beautiful, but the quality is outstanding and they work with paediatricians to make the best footwear for our little ones’ needs. So the big question is, would I buy these myself for L? Before I had tried them out I would have to be honest and say no. They sell for around £55 which is a lot of money for a 7 year old’s footwear. However, having tried them out, and seen the comfort and quality of the boots, I would definitely spend this much to get L these boots in a bigger size for next autumn/winter. And I think I’ll have to as she LOVES them!

Here is some information about Naturino and their footwear, there are various places you can buy their shoes and boots in the UK, such as here and here.

Disclosure: I was provided with a pair of Naturino boots free of charge in exchange for this honest blog review. As usual all words and opinions are my own.

Naturino is an Italian brand with an excellent reputation. I’m not sure if the shoes are still manufactured in Italy or abroad (unfortunately this is becoming the norm these days).
Gorgeous boots for a gorgeous young lady!

Gotta love comfy boots for kids, especially considering how much I make L walk!

  8. These boots look wonderful, I like the ‘walking on sand’ idea. I probably would spend that for a pair of winter boots once Peakles is a little older as she is currently growing out of shoes every six to eight weeks!

Yes, you wouldn’t want to spend that kind of money every couple of months! I’m lucky in that L grows VERY slowly 🙂

  9. Those boots look awesome, and I am pretty sure my 8-year old wouldn’t be taking them off either!
