Your Life is S**T

Go on, be honest. How many times have you thought to yourself “my life is shit”? Whether it was because you spilt coffee on yourself, pranged your car, forgot your mum’s birthday and got bawled out in a meeting all in the same day or whether it was a 3am insomniac thought as you stress over the job you hate or your dead-end relationship, at some point or another we have all had this thought.

Your life is shit (and you know it): www.FranglaiseMummy.com l Get the life you love

The rise of social media has made it even worse as now we’re comparing our bad stuff and our worse days to everyone else’s rose-tinted, perfect life.

At age 40 I now lead my dream life. But it wasn’t always that way. Getting here has been a tough old slog. There have been some serious amounts of picking myself up, dusting myself off and starting all over again. Both in my personal life and in my professional life.

Maybe you are aware that something isn’t right in your life. Something is making you unhappy. Maybe you are convinced that all is well but you wake up in the middle of the night in a cold sweat with a feeling that something is wrong. You might be playing the ostrich game and telling yourself that all is well whilst pushing your head further and further into the sand, or you might know that you need change but don’t know where to start.

Life is bloody hard, and no matter how much schooling you had no one ever really teaches you this. We’re all struggling to make the best of it that we can, and whilst it may seem easier for others than for you, remember you don’t know what’s going on behind closed doors.

I now live on a tropical island in the Indian Ocean, with my husband (who happens to be my best friend and soulmate) and our two incredible, happy, healthy daughters. I work for myself, doing what I love.

But I’ve had my fair share of mountains to climb to get here. In my upcoming book I lift the lid on all the shit stuff, some of which I’ve not shared anywhere before, not even with close friends and family, as I think it’s so important to understand that beneath these perfect lives there are struggles and heart break. I also share how you can get from the shit stuff to the good stuff.
