Magic Moments – Baby’s moving forwards

Having just got back from a fortnight’s family holidays there are millions of Magic Moments that I could talk about today (including our 10th wedding anniversary which we celebrated whilst away), but I am going to choose just one, or rather a selection of similar ones, all about Baby C.

She is 8 and a half months old now and this holiday has seen us reach various milestones – we went from two teeth to four, as her top two cut while we were away.… Read more

World Breastfeeding Week: what does it mean for you?

The lovely Bod for Tea recently alerted me to the fact that, starting today, it is World Breastfeeding Week (1-7 August 2013). And it got me thinking about breastfeeding in France and the UK, and what it means for me, and what it means for others.

My mum was an NCT breastfeeding counsellor when I was a child, who breastfed all 4 of my siblings and me through the 1970s and early 80s.… Read more

Ergobaby review

I hadn’t really planned on reviewing the Ergobaby carrier, but after using it for Race for Life at the weekend, and after the huge amount of questions I got about it following my Race for Life blog post I decided that I should share my view of it.

Killing my baby with BLW

6 years ago I was a first time mother to a 5 month old baby girl and living in the south of France. I didn’t have a clue how to even begin weaning, so I looked online and discovered Baby Led Weaning (BLW), it sounded perfect – no making up tons of purées, and none of this letting my food go cold while I feed the baby.… Read more

59 minutes to give birth

Baby C is 5 months old today so I feel it’s time to finally share her birth story with the world. Warning: Long birth story containing too much information for those of a sensitive nature.

It took me less than an hour to give birth to C, according to my hospital notes, and it took us all a bit by surprise.… Read more

And then there were 4…

Wow! I haven’t blogged in ages. Since just before going from being pregnant to a mummy of 2! So hopefully I can be excused for being lax on the blog as I’ve been too busy being a mummy to my two wonderful children.

For those of you who don’t follow me on Facebook or Twitter, I gave birth to a beautiful baby girl on Monday 12th November.… Read more
