Magic Moments – Baby’s moving forwards

Having just got back from a fortnight’s family holidays there are millions of Magic Moments that I could talk about today (including our 10th wedding anniversary which we celebrated whilst away), but I am going to choose just one, or rather a selection of similar ones, all about Baby C.

She is 8 and a half months old now and this holiday has seen us reach various milestones – we went from two teeth to four, as her top two cut while we were away. We also now have a crawler who has found first gear – she’d spent about a month only going backwards.

Clémence crawling

So this has meant putting up a stair-gate, separating the lounge from the kitchen, as we don’t want her tumbling down the kitchen steps once she finds second, third and fourth gear in her crawling speeds. Although she’s not yet pulling herself up to standing, it doesn’t look like it’ll be long, so Hubs dropped her cot mattress down to the lowest level, as we prepare for the next stages in her development.

She can stand when we put her in position

She can stand when we put her in position

All in all I’d say those are pretty magic moments – despite her being our last, I’m not feeling any sadness about her moving nearer to being a toddler and further away from being a newborn, we’re having so much fun with her, and enjoying watching her little personality unfold every day.

Although it’s late in the day I’m linking up to The Oliver’s Madhouse and the Magic Moments linky (I’m justifying it as I did start writing this post this morning, it’s just been one of those days!). For other Magic Moments, click on the linky below and enjoy 🙂

I love the crawling stage…it’s the running (and tumbling) stage that I didn’t enjoy quite so much! Lovely moments, and happy anniversary! (We celebrated our 10th this year too).

Fortunately she’s not too fast yet, and I’m totally not ready for the running, tumbling stage. Happy 10 years to you too! Thanks for commenting.
